The so-called "architecture" hotel which was planned by the community of architects combines modern and traditional elements with the nature. Modern elements adapt to the typical local building style and hence create certain contrasts. Wood is used as basis material and gets the possibility to unfold its good-smelling and warming character. Floor-to-ceiling-windows allow to catch the ambience of the nature outside. The hotel was awarded as the first hotel in Austria with the "international climate award". On top, the hotel offers excellent cuisine ( 1 Gault Millaut star and in 2012/13 2 lillies in the Relax Guide) and a luxury SPA area using only high class natural products by VITALIS Dr. Jospeh and MARIA GALLAND Paris.

The luxurious SPA hotel is located in the valley Defereggental in Osttirol, 400m from the centre of Hopfgarten. The skilifts - in St. Jakob and in Matrei - are both 15 driving minutes (approx. 40km) from the hotel. There is a free hotel-own shuttle service to and from those skilifts.

The hotel was built in 2008 and is renovated on an ongoing basis.

The hotel accommodates 48 rooms on three floors in one building.

DBL Zedern Klang: 25-28 sqm, for 1-2 persons. Bathroom separated by a milky glasswall from the room (opaque).

DBL Natur Plus: 28-30 sqm, for 1-2 persons. Healthy micro climate by pine wood. Pine wood beds with "Villgrater Natur" healthy sleeping system.

DBL Superior: 32-35 sqm, for 2-4 persons. Pine wood beds with "Villgrater Natur" healthy sleeping system. Living area with pull out couch.

Suite Schwarzach: 43 sqm, for 2-4 persons. Pine wood beds with "Villgrater Natur" healthy sleeping system. Living area with pull out couch.

Suite Defereggental: 47-48 sqm, for 2-4 persons. Pine wood beds with "Villgrater Natur" healthy sleeping system. Living area with pull out couch, open fireplace.
