The hotel is calmly located at the edge of the wood and directly at the slope (1a), so that the skiing day may end directly at the hotel's door (ski in). The valley station of the closest skilift - Goldriedbahn - is 1,5 km from the hotel. The skibus, however, stops just in front of the hotel (and 50m from the annex). The centre of Matrei with its restaurants and bars is 500m (6-7 walking minutes) from the hotel.

The hotel was built in three steps in 1980, 1982 and 1990 and was last renovated in 2017.
The hotel accommodates 52 rooms and 63 apartments on up to eight floors in two buildings which are 200 m from each other and not connected.
